Job Description

• Using the Client Information Management System (CIMS), schedules volunteer drivers to provide transportation to seniors;
• Receives client requests for Transportation and records this information in CIMS database;
• Contact volunteer drivers that reside closest to the client to schedule transportation and records this information in CIMS
• Schedules volunteer drivers for client discharges through the PATH program at HSN;
• Maintains the CIMS database;
• Enters driver log and expense forms information into CIMS;
• Completes administrative duties for billing as directed;
• Assists with volunteer management and recognition;
• Records client or driver complaints and informs the appropriate staff member when intervention is required;
• Identifies shortages of volunteer resources and informs appropriate staff of service resource needs (i.e. Shortage of French speaking volunteers or volunteers available in a specific geographic area, etc.);
• Assists with client case management;
• Notifies appropriate staff regarding any changes reported in client’s condition and records the information in the client’s file as well as in CIMS if applicable;
• Integrates volunteer resources within the job’s scope of responsibility;
• Follows all policies and procedures as required to maintain a healthy and safe working environment;
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Benefits / Requirements

The minimum qualifications for this position are a Secondary School diploma plus 1 to 2 years of formal post-secondary education, including a 2-year community college diploma and between 1 to 3 years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to converse in French is a requirement of this position.
