Overview
Job Description:
The Finance Manager is an integral part of the management team who provides strategic financial guidance to support the organization’s mission and goals.The core responsibilities include day to day financial and administrative oversight of the organization’s operations, including all financial aspects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. In addition, this position is responsible for all external contractors, monitoring and maintaining internal IT controls, while being the Health & Safety lead.

Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage payroll, financial reporting, and analysis, providing insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Coordinate and lead audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide timely and accurate information to senior management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in financial management, preferably in the nonprofit/charitable sector
- Proven experience in accounting principles, financial reporting standards, budgeting processes & management.
- Experience with financial software & systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
