Job Description:

The Engagement Specialist /Job Developer is responsible for building partnerships with community businesses through outreach activities and establishing employment opportunities for job seekers. Program will focus on supporting employers and encourage Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in outreach activities with employers to identify opportunities and promote services
• Facilitates community presentation and networking events to increase awareness of programs and services
• Develops strategies to identify and facilitate job placement, job matching, job carving & job retention
• Ensures eligibility criteria is met through onsite visits
• Provides ongoing HR support to employers

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in social services, personnel management and/or business administration resources
• 2 to 5 years of experience in employment counselling, recruitment, training, sales and/or human resource management
• Familiarity with DEI, Employment Best Practices, AODA information, Employment Standards is an asset
• Proficiency in both official languages is an asset
• Must have a class G license, access to a reliable insured vehicle and have a good driving record
