Overview
Job Summary
The Lead Hand supports the Construction Teams in the day-to-day onsite tasks. The Lead Hand takes instruction from the Working Foreman & Site Supervisors to complete the necessary tasks and duties for each respective job site. The Lead Hand is expected to lead and supervise 1-2 General Labourers in various construction tasks.

Required Skills
- Experience in the field of residential construction (3-5 years experience required)
- Skill level 3 on a minimum of three key areas with clear progression/improvements moving towards skill level 4
Key Duties
Daily
- Site setup and teardown
- Loading & unloading of tools and materials
- Maintaining cleanliness on site
- Ensuring tools and supplies are returned to appropriate places
- Perform various interior or exterior construction or landscape related tasks at any point in construction process
- Concrete Work
- Framing
- Insulation & Drywall
- Painting & Staining
- Tile & Flooring
- Trim & Doors
- Exterior Finishes (windows, siding, roofing, soffit, fascia, eaves) ❏ Landscaping
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Working Foreman and Site Supervisors to ensure job efficiency
- Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately
- Supervise and direct 1-2 General Labourers to ensure efficiency on site
- Assist in training of Construction Trainees as needed
- Ensure a safe and organized work environment
- Maintain daily, accurate time cards as per daily tasks
As Needed
- Attend company meetings
- Participate in ongoing Training & Development initiatives
- Skills upgrading
- Attend Certifications (First Aid, Working at Heights, etc)
Working Conditions
- Work in all weather conditions indoors and outdoors
- Lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment over 50lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Monday to Friday
